Privacy Policy

We purely collect the data necessary to calculate accurate Mahr benchmarks ("Mahr Mithl"). This includes:

• Financial Data: Mahr amounts (Muqaddam, Muakhar), asset breakdown (gold, cash, etc.).
• Demographic Data: Age, education level, income band, location (country, state, city).
• Contextual Data: Marriage year, marriage type (first vs. remarriage).

WE DO NOT collect: Names, Email Addresses, Phone Numbers, or exact street addresses. IP Addresses are logged only for security/rate-limiting

The purpose of this data is to provide a platform for users to view and compare mahr values. Your submission helps:

• Calculate average and median Mahr values relative to specific demographics.
• Identify trends in Mahr over time (e.g., impact of inflation or cultural shifts).
• Provide a "Mahr Calculator" tool to help others find fair, data-backed reference points.
• Allow users to view the mahr of people in a similar demographic to them

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Our database is secured with strict access controls. Since we do not store PII, even in the unlikely event of a data breach, your personal identity cannot be linked to the financial data you submitted.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your data to third parties. We are an Open Data initiative focused on community benefit.
